Care and Compassion

I hope you’re enjoying the start of spring and the longer days. Here in Colorado we’re getting more of the sunshine that we love and that brings us some hope of warmer days. We hope you were able to take a moment to reflect on last month's reminder of our value of Empowerment and Sustainability. 

This month we’re continuing the focus on our values here at True Impact Ministries and want to take a moment to look at our value of Care and Compassion. 

Some of our favorite scriptures that encourage us to live out this value of Care and Compassion are:

• James 1:27 – "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress..."

True Impact sponsorships show Care and Compassion practically by providing food, shelter, medical care, education, emotional, and spiritual support. This holistic approach toward our students helps prepare them for the best future possible. 

• Matthew 25:40 – "Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."

Recently we were able to help one of our students have a hernia repair surgery that he may have otherwise not been able to have. This procedure relieved intense pain for him and after recovering he will be able to enjoy normal activity again. 

As we desire to live out Care and Compassion, hopefully our actions align accordingly and we show kindness and concern to those around us. This happens easily when we support a cause that is abroad but can happen locally too, this lived value can help reweave and improve the social fabric that makes up our society.  

In our mission of serving and empowering the orphaned and vulnerable children in Uganda, we believe when they receive the proper holistic support needed it is highly likely to improve the future outcomes of their lives. 

Pray with us:

God,You see the needs of our students and are not caught off guard by situations that arise that often require more. We know that you care deeply for them. We pray that You fill our hearts with Your compassion so we may continue to be Your hands and feet in their lives.

Help us love unconditionally, serve selflessly, and to provide hope where there is despair. Guide those who are working tirelessly to care for these children—grant them strength, wisdom, and resources to continue their mission.- Amen
