Cyndi’s Memorial Medical Fund
A special medical fund has been set up to give special care to children, staff, and volunteers of our children’s homes. It is called Cyndi’s Memorial Medical Fund and was established in honor of Cyndi Oertli, daughter of a former board member
True Impact Ministries is committed to ensuring that children in our care have access to essential medical services in a country where healthcare is often out of reach. Uganda faces significant medical challenges, with a doctor-to-patient ratio of just 1:25,000. The World Health Organization’s recommendeds 1:1,000. In Uganda, less than 0.5% of Uganda’s GDP is allocated to health insurance, making access to care difficult for many. Due to funding shortages, treatable diseases like malaria remain a leading cause of death, especially among children.
Through the years True Impact Ministries has stepped in to bridge this gap. Children in our program have access to doctor visits, dental, and optometry care as needed. We also are able to supply schools and orphan homes with medical kits and essential first aid supplies.

Cyndi, after whom the fund is named went to be with the Lord February 4, 2002 at 30 years old.
